Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!
Does your training have a cultural bias?

Whether you’ve had an after-school job at McDonald’s or a graduate position in a major financial institution, it’s likely that at some point in your career, you willl work for an international company. In countries like Australia, more than 15% of the workforce also spends some time working in another country. So given that our labour market thinks global, shouldn’t our professional qualifications do the same?

ACS Principal, John Mason, said a broader focus would give people an edge in an increasingly competitive job market.
“If you have an accounting qualification from Australia and you want to work for a British finance company, there is no doubt that having a solid understanding of the UK’s Value Added Tax (VAT) as well as Australia’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) would be an advantage to you,” he said.
“But most education systems will offer you training in one or the other depending on what country you study in.
“At ACS, we have a more international focus. By expanding our training beyond a single local climate, economy, culture or legal system, we offer our students an expanded capacity to solve problems in a global employment environment. This greatly increases their employability in the wider market.”
