The optimum use of water is vitally important in any commercial operation where plants are being grown for sale.  The quality of the water, the amount applied, and the timing of that application are determined not only by the crop but by the time of year.  Irrigation equipment can now be very sophisticated with computer-controlled application.  Furthermore, irrigation water can also be exploited as a means to apply fertilisers at carefully controlled rate.  In short this course is a must for anyone who is growing crops commercially on an agricultural scale.
